The word being
muttered constantly in corners of clubs and as small talk
topic in Wine Bars in and about London was ‘when is the next
stamp going to be??’ The long awaited arrival of the next in
the line of stamp raves had finally reached us.....
Stamp
Part
10 was held in East London in the plush surroundings of The
Players Club. £10.00 limited tickets sold out for this event
well before the night was here, guaranteeing a ‘bashment’
affair.
As soon as you
entered the club you were hit with musical vibes! You looked
up and saw people having what I would like to describe as a
Great time! You looked up and immediately saw lots and lots of
smiling faces, lots of energetic and enthusiastic ravers. This
was vibes well and truly personified. In the mist of these
sexy, smart ravers you ears were greeted with the sweetest in
RnB, Rare Grooves the wickedest Bashment and a hint of Soca
and Revival.
Music on the
night was supplied Special Touch, Studio Express, Latest
Edition, Fifth Avenue, Boogie Boy in what according to ravers
was one of the best in Stamp series. One of the highlights of
the night include The infamous Stamp dance routine which
nearly the whole club participated. This was led by Dodd’s who
at one stage turned off the music and used his hands on the
mic to recreate in accapella style the stamp rhythm beat,
which had the ravers stamping in beat with the dance routine
and the clapping of Dodd’s hand on the mic. The effect…
original and absolutely ‘heavy’!!
We caught up
with both ravers who had attended previous Stamp events and
Ravers who were attending for the first time. Maxine from
Peckham said “It’s my first time to Stamp but most definitely
not the last! I like the music and I am happy with the calibre
of men that I see on display too!” Gemma stated that she has
been to several Stamp raves in the past and said “You could
class me as an original Stamp Raver I suppose but my verdict
is that this rates very highly!”
We will also
be giving you the option to buy CD/DVD packs of this memorable
night in the very near future. To register your interests
