Promotioncity.co.uk rolled up at Silks and Spice AKA Temple
Bar for one of the most anticipated birthday bashes of the
year.
Upon arrival
we were greeted with what some would argue as over strict
security! who most definitely made the most of exerting their
authority at the door to say the least. I guess at the end of
the day the tighter the security is the less chance of trouble
and that end result is the most important feature of the
night! This was a feature which was a noticeable plus on the
night… no trouble!
Once we got in
and the atmosphere sucked us up, - and I must at this point say
a big up to my over 'zealous bredrin' in the army suit at the
door. ‘Bro I told you come what may, I will be entering this
rave mate!' Anyway I suppose every man has got to do his job
right?!!
The atmosphere
inside Silks and Spice was, as Lloyd Banks would say ‘on
fire!!’ There was no hiding for anyone when it came to
sporting your illustrious garments, as ‘gangsters’,
‘gentlemen’, ‘man dem’ all came correct in making that effort
to impress the ladies whom I might add, again did not let
themselves down! If you were here then you will be able to
relate with me when one talks about the ‘different’ kind of
frocks ladies modelled on this night! This was no holds bared
and every one went all out to celebrate these two young up and
coming icons in the industry.
Musically we
were entertained by G-Ents, Playboyz, Elliotness & Daze,
Specialists, Reggie Styles, Frisky DJ, and Cold as Ice. We
were treated to an exclusive set by special guest Richard
Blackwood who put down a special old skool set with the
birthday boy Dagz and Mr Play on the mic. This was a highlight
of the night as ladies screamed at the top of their voices
hollering to classic tunes such as Lisa Lisa’s ‘I wonder if I
take you home ‘ and Mantronix’s ‘ got to get your love’.
We caught up
with a lot of ravers both female and male whom told us they
were definitely satisfied with the night in terms of music
quality, vibes and overall value for money! Promotion City
would once again like to wish a massive birthday shout out the
Mr Play and Mr Dagz.
My exclusive
sources tell me that Life the movie PT2 is currently being
filmed and will be coming to a club near you soon, so watch
this soon…
