This was the debut of what
promised to be an event which will be on the lips of people
for many years to come. This Urban Weekender was brought to
you by ‘The Feel Good Experience in Conjunction with Lightning
FM’. The name… BRIGHTON ROCK.
This was the bank holiday
weekender when all the leading sounds and DJ’s headed down to
the south coast for a festive 48hrs of non stop partying.
Gents this was the ideal time to
liase with the sexy ladies on display and ladies this was an
ideal time to hear what these fine gents had to say and find
out whether they could ‘walk the talk!!’
I am told the gents did not let
the ladies down and the ladies did not let the gents down as
the vibe which had been created over the two days seemed what
one would describe as electric!!
The weekender was held in the
well established Ocean Grande Hotel, which was actually
situated just a few miles from the seafront. The Hotel itself
seemed to meet the requirements of the ravers bar a few people
who had problems with their water in their rooms. Big up to
Pam who did a fab job in trying to keep everyone happy.
Musically the night was ‘on top’
as 5th Avenue, Mistri, Studio Express, Hyper ESQ, MJR, Watty
Jnr, Gal Flex, Latest Edition, Company Soul Sound, Nasty Boyz,
Chris Sweeney and DJ Ratty smashed up the place with bad boy
sets.
PromotionCity.co.uk was down to
review the two nights of raving. On the first night we had the
‘Oscar night’ in where the ladies and Gents donned their most
exclusive garments and stepped out of their hotel rooms to
party! A special mention must go out to Dodds and DJ Ali AKA
Studio Express in particular for
revitalising the crowd at about 6am just when fatigue had set
into the crowd. Their set had the crowd hollering, stomping
and doing every dance you can imagine. This particular night
eventually finished at 10AM!
The second night was the eagerly
awaited Pyjama part. The first word I’ll have to describe
night with is....WOW! Maximum respect goes out to all those
who made the effort and participated as they most definitely
went the whole nine! Ladies you looked fantastic, man dem
represented in true soldier style. The night started off
slowly but about 4am the place was jamming!!! A massive big up
to Mr Fox and Sweet Vibes from 5th Avenue for
helping put this weekend together. Apart from a few teething
problems, which is to be expected the feedback we received
points to this weekender being a great success!
Bring on 2005!!...
