After a tiring day of entertainment which took place at Alexandra Palace, it was time for the after party to commence.  The Afro Hair and Beauty show moved to it's after party spot on Shh Rooms right in the center of lively London's West End, Leister Square.

Amazingly on a Monday although it was a bank holiday the parking was crazy as it took Promotion City nearly 1 hour to find a parking space and this was a good walk from the club.  This was the first initial sign that the night was to be a crowd filled night. We arrived outside Shh rooms at the prime time of 12.30.  We labelled this the prime hour as this was the time when people that had been to the show had a chance to get home and glam themselves up.  The queue outside the club was massive with people queuing up from the pre part and also saw many holiday ravers looking for their best night on this Monday evening.

Once through the excited crowd which Promotion City had no problem with thanks to the great security staff on the doors, we entered the plush and lavish Shh club greeted by winding stairs taking you up through the A-List clubs 3 floors.  On the first floor the vibes where good and the dance floor in the main room was so packed it made it hard to navigate throw the crowed. But considering the large numbers of  people, it was a still a happy, vibing and smiling atmosphere with not a sole worrying about their shoes being stepped on, this indicated that the DJ’s where doing their thing well, unfortunately, the only down side was that there where no microphones allowed in this club.  Perhaps this is one that Shh may think of allowing in the future to increase the vibe in the building.

As we wondered from the first floor to the second you could not help but notice how well dressed people had come out, the girls looked great and sexy, and the guys looked sharp and suave.  Even people that were slightly dressed down dropped it well and looked hot.

On the second floor was the VIP lounge and anyone in there can tell you it was off the hook for what is normally a chilled area, there beats where pumping and nuff drinks where flowing.  Add this to the extra seated beds in VIP with the few on the first floor this floor was truly kicking with music supplied by the well known DJ Marcus Blue, style from the sexy VIP ladies and pictures from your one stop solution Promotion City as you can see on your right.

The night carried on with the great vibe and even after a busy and hectic day earlier at the show people showed no sign of slowing nor winding down.  People that were chilling in the back bar lounge area even jumped up with energy when their favourite songs came on.  People on the beds were far from sleeping as new found friends conversed and got to know each other, or as you can see from one or two pictures - pulled a laying down pose for the camera.

As the night headed to an end the GENTS played us out with one of their  usual great sets, spun with a few golden oldies including their trademark Madonna's Like A Virgin, and a heavy Outkast and Shy FX Helicopter mix.  On the final track the crowd showed  they didn't want the night to come to an end still shouting and singing the words as it faded down, so to show their love for the crowd, the GENTS played another only to be told to cut it by the club staff.  But like true pro's they complied even after having speaker problems and not being helped by the same staff earlier on.

The night came to an end and people carried the vibe with them as ravers flowed out into Leister Square and even in the rain people stuck around chatting. This gave Promotion City the chance to catch up with a few.

Marsha from Tottenham said "I had a great day and night, so much so, that my feet hurt badly mainly from all the dancing to that great music!"

Whez from East said "It was to jam but worth it just for all da gal…" then he went off to chat to one!

On the whole this was a great night that extended an great show on the bank holiday Monday, the rave was packed, people where well behaved, and the music and of the highest standard. The Vibe was so good that we have to thank not only the promoters for putting on such a night, but you… ‘The Real Ravers’ too. Pure Promotion City love and respect to you all.

Keep posted here from more nights like these from these promoters and many more... Don't forget to check out the pictures on the right if you was there, and the new easier style Clubber s Gallery for any other rave you many have been at with Promotion City.
