The Nakhon Bar, which is situated next to the Barbican in the City, saw a night that started the weekend with a twist. This was a night which was slightly different in that the people who we are used to presenting dances such as the ‘Stamp’ i.e. the ‘Specialists’ brought to us a press party, effectively named “Press Party in the City”.
This night was full of many people from the events entertainment industry including people from Television, Web-Media, Magazines and Music. The most apparent thing that struck you as you walked in was the conscious effort people made as elegantly dressed ladies wearing their best outfits and guys wearing nothing but suits, blazers and ties filled out the dance floor.
The DJ’s provided us with some sing a long classics that just made you reminisce of the 80’s and 90’s as they spun the very best in classic RnB, Bashment, Slow Jams and even threw in a hint of Funky House just to mix it up! With a sophisticated mature crowd, ravers were dancing all night to a delightful mix and blend of music and in particular, Desi G and Barry White put down a splendid set as per usual and Nigel B used his exclusive PC-DJ laptop mixes to get the crowds feet moving all night.
