1st of April was the long awaited date for one of the most anticipated jams so far this year… After a hectic time trying to find the club we eventually pulled up to Alibi, set off of Fleet Street, praying that we would still be let in. Lucky for us the friendly bouncers were more than happy to allow us in after unveiling what we were hiding beneath our long coats.
As the men strolled around in their boxers and bathrobes it was refreshing to see that it wasn’t only the girlies that had made an effort. Music was provided by Mr Play, Longers, Dagz, Play Ent, Chris Nat, Smooth Connection and Frisky DJ, and there wasn’t a complaint from anyone. Singing along to “Love” by Keisha Cole was one of the high points of the night for me, although with my eyes closed I didn’t quite notice if I was the only one (that song is passionate man!). Everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves, totally in the mood to boogie the night away, and when the lights came on close to 3am, not even the semi-naked ladies were ready to leave the dance floor.
A great idea, a great rave! My only complaint is that some people (including ourselves) got to the venue very late or at the end, due to poor communication of the venues location. I’m sure this will be improved upon next time, right guys! Definitely look out for Part 10, I’m planning my outfit already!
