Do you remember? It seems only a little while ago that many of you ravers were at Silks & Spice raving at Lloyd’s life’s big birthday 2004. A year on and many raves later we were back at what now looks like almost certainly being the final rave at Silk and Spice for a long time, if not ever… This was ‘Soul Deep: Lloyd Life’s Birthday bash 2005’. A capacity packed crowd of approximately 800 people hit Central London for this highly anticipated Soul Deep event.
The buzz which had been created from The Summers Ball in May had literally sold this event to people by itself, as tickets just seemed to disappear from outlets in the blink of an eye. With a lot to live up to from the last ‘Soul Deep’, this night certainly got close, with the usual resident DJ’s plus special guest DJ’s throwing down a diverse range of banging beats, from Old school Garage classics, 90’s classics, right up to the time with fresh RnB flavours, slow Jamz and some ‘get up and shake that booty’ Soca and Bashment! Ladies as per usual came out in abundance and of course the guys followed suit.
We all hope that Soul Deep can find a new home and that the memories of Soul Deep do not end with the memories of Silks & Spice….
