2-Face - The Gemini Special was a night which saw hundreds of Gemini’s come to celebrate their birthdays. This fun filled night was held at the venue formally known as Jawani’ sbut now making its mark on the map as Bar 54. Bar 54 is a small venue however it has two floors. Upstairs is a spacious lounging area with many comfy sofas, toilets and a large bar. The ground floor (where the party really was vibesin’) has a small dj booth, a cloakroom and a smaller bar. Bar 54 was jammed with people all up for a great time.
The musical selection on the night was produced by Fab Vibez, Smooth Connection, Lloyd Life and (our favourite’s) Scottie B and Kool J. The most memorable part of the night was a fantastic set from Sammy Confunktion, when he got everyone moving to the up tempo sounds of funky house. Each and every DJ kept us all dancing into the early morning. Even as the rave was drawing to an end and people began to leave, they were still bubbling hard.
On a serious note though guys, Bar 54 isn’t big enough for your raves, you lot never fail to draw a large crowd – you packed it out, it was a sweat box in there. However, 2-Face, The Gemini Special, was a really good night, and we had a really good time. We hope all the Gemini’s enjoyed their celebrations, including our very own Neil-One and the main birthday boys who wore specially printed black shirts with white print exposing their names and ages: Redz, Sykes, Jason.S, Kingsley, Kobbs and Cornelius.
